Rhythm & Motion is thrilled to partner with Dancer's Group to present the joyous free outdoor kickoff event for Bay Area Dance Week at noon on Friday, April 24. This year's celebration will be held at Jessie Square across from the beautiful Yerba Buena Gardens.

Save the date: DANCE DAY IN HONOR OF CONSUELO FAUST
In partnership with the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival, this year’s free Dance Day event at Yerba Buena Gardens on October 11 will serve as a heartfelt celebration of the life and legacy of Consuelo Faust, founder of Rhythm & Motion. In the spirit of her belief that anyone can dance, the day will feature free, all-level dance classes, live music, and a special music and dance performance honoring her vision and the extraordinary dance community she loved and cultivated.

Save the date: NOE VALLEY TOWN SQUARE
Leave the downpours of this month behind and get ready to join us Saturday, March 21 at 4pm for our first free outdoor class of 2026 in the beautiful Noe Valley Town Square.
Our free Wednesday classes at the Yerba Buena Gardens in the heart of San Francisco will begin in April!

After several years of operating with a small, "all-hands-on-deck" team in our office, we are excited to be in a moment when growing our administrative team feels both possible and energizing! To this end, we are seeking candidates for two positions: Business Operations Manager and Marketing Content Associate.
As part of the Rhythm & Motion community, we hope that you have experienced the thought and care that goes into our program. We're looking for people who work collaboratively, bring thoughtfulness and initiative, hold care for people alongside care for their work, and have a genuine love for dance. Our work includes the commitment to day-to-day tasks, a deep collaboration with our communities, and lending a hand in shaping what comes next. As we grow, we look forward to continuing to bring the joy of dance to everyone!

Come out to support instructor Nehemiah Aldrich at Napper Tandy's brand new drag brunch in the heart of the mission. Not Your Mama's Brunch! is hosted by Nitrix Oxide and features an array of bizarre, comedic, and rising Bay Area talent you've never seen before! Enjoy a delicious brunch menu and drinks, and stay for an amazing show! 12pm doors, 1pm show!

Don't miss out seeing instructor Eyla Moore dancing with Afro-Peruvian group Cunamacué, in the 20th Annual CubaCaribe Festival of Dance & Music at ODC Theater, April 10 - 12.
A mixed program of six diverse pieces that were chosen based on their artistry and impact from past festival performances over the last 20 years by artistic director Ramón Ramos Alayo and executive director Jamaica Itule Simmons.

Catch R&M Director Dudley Flores and many other teachers and dancers in our community in SF Carnaval's Grand Parade on Sunday, May 24. San Francisco Carnaval is the largest multicultural festival in the West Coast, bringing together San Francisco's Latino, Caribbean and African Diasporic traditions.
