Celebrating “Resistance In Action”
Thank you to everyone for celebrating Pride 2026 through dance! If you were unable to join us, here are some sights, sounds and reflections from the day.
In June 2026, Rhythm & Motion and Dancers' Group partnered to highlight the parade's theme, "Resistance In Action,” and express the undiminished spirit of San Francisco as a global leader in the fight for LGBTQ+ liberation and fundamental human rights. Guided by deep respect, shared purpose and solidarity, our contingent was more than a performance - it was an expression of unity, visibility, courageous joy and pride.
The contingent of 195+ dancers and volunteers, who identify as LGBTQ+, parents of queer and trans kids, allies and advocates, came together to demonstrate this theme through the power and joy of dance.

“Every one of you has helped shape what Dance with Pride has become, and I'm so grateful for that. Thank you for trusting us, believing in this community, and bringing your whole selves to the process. Every rehearsal, every laugh, every high five, every step along the 1.6-mile parade route, every smile shared with a stranger, every song you sang - it all mattered. You all matter.”
Community Agreement
Pride is more than just a parade and festival; it’s a powerful statement of visibility, allyship and affirmation for LGBTQ+ individuals and communities worldwide. The Dance with Pride journey will serve as a space where celebration and advocacy intertwine - where we not only come together to express ourselves through music and dance, but also commit to fostering a culture of inclusion, respect and understanding.
