CONGRATULATIONS DANCE WITH PRIDE

On Sunday, June 28, almost 200 enthusiastic dancers and volunteers took to the streets to "Dance with Pride" with Rhythm & Motion and Dancers' Group in the San Francisco Pride Parade.
In his wrap up letter to the contingent, R&M Director, Dudley Flores wrote:
For me, Dance with Pride has always been about creating a place where people can celebrate, commemorate, and stand up for one another. I want queer people to dance their hearts out and share who they are through movement. I want those who fought for the rights many of us enjoy today to experience the joy they helped make possible. I want parents and children to dance together and for each other. I want allies to stand beside our LGBTQ+ community and remember that advocacy, for all human rights and freedoms, doesn't begin and end in June. I want visitors to leave San Francisco feeling welcomed, loved, and hopeful.
We'd like to extend a big congratulations to out entire contingent and a heartfelt thanks to our broader community for the support! We'd also like to give a special shout of thanks to our co-presenter, Dancers' Group, and our 2026 partner organizations ODC and the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival for their trust in the vision. We are so grateful.

VOTE DANCE WITH PRIDE FOR
"BEST OVERALL CONTINGENT"

Out of more than 200 contingents that participated in this year's San Francisco Pride Parade, Dance with Pride has been nominated as one of five finalists for Best Overall Contingent.
While we've received the "Absolutely Fabulous Musical" contingent award in past years, this "Best Overall" award recognizes contingents with outstanding visual presentation, emotional content, creative expression, energy and joy a contingent brings to Market Street, and the incorporation of the official Pride theme: "Resistance in Action."
Please take a moment to vote for Dance with Pride for Best Overall Contingent, and if you're willing, share the voting link with others. Every vote helps us share the story of what this dance community stands for, and for the joy and hope we strive to create together.
Note: The nomination lists us as "Rhythm in Motion - Dancers With Pride" which isn't quite our name - we're Rhythm & Motion and Dancers' Group and our contingent is Dance with Pride
We'd be so grateful if you'd take a moment to cast your vote for us.
And while you're exercising your voting rights, scroll down to vote for R&M Berkeley Instructors Leigh Marz or Jess Bozzo in East Bay Express' "Best Dance Instructor (and studio)" category!
