This is your chance to dance your heart out through the center of the city alongside your friends, teachers and fellow Bay Area dancers! This year Rhythm & Motion and Dancers' Group have partnered with the San Francisco Ethnic Dance FestivalODC SchoolBerkeley Ballet TheaterAlonzo King LINES Dance Center, and Latin Dance Grooves to celebrate diversity, community and highlight the parade's theme, "Generations of Resistance." Our contingent will include dancers of all ages performing three fun, energetic routines that demonstrate the power and beauty of dance!

Get a taste of the joyous experience by checking out the video above. See how much fun everyone is having? Be a part of that glorious amazingness this year!! Dancers of all levels welcome—no previous experience required. You can learn the routines online, at our pre-parade rehearsals, and in select Rhythm & Motion classes throughout the month of June. It's going to be a blast!

A note to our Veteran Pride Dancers….we have a couple of changes this year indicated in italics below (no late registration and TWO mandatory rehearsals to help us be extra fierce!) , so please read all information carefully. We hope you‘ll join us again this year!

UPDATE: We now know our line-up number! We will be contingent #144 this year, which means the call time on parade day is 12:30 pm. We will line up on Block M, which is located on Main Street between Market and Mission. Our on-site rehearsal will begin at 12:45pm sharp, so please make sure you give yourself PLENTY of time to arrive by then. Our step-off time is estimated to happen between 1:30 and 2:00pm, and the entire route is estimated to take 45 minutes to one hour.

MANDATORY IN-PERSON REHEARSALS (**New! Two rehearsals required**)

We are so excited to dance with you down Market Street, and want our contingent to feel confident in the moves and traveling patterns. Learning the routines online is great, but there's no substitute for the in-person practices. R&M Artistic Director and contingent leader Dudley Flores will go over many parade-day logistics and tips about how to perform the choreography successfully in a parade environment. The practices are also when we'll hand out the shirts! We require that you attend at least TWO rehearsals, but hope that you will attend more. We want you to express your joy as well as successfully convey the movements the way we know you can! The more we practice, the better our group will look on parade day.

Want to get involved, but not necessarily dance? Our volunteers help us keep our group moving smoothly. Carry a banner, pass out water to the dancers, distribute stickers to the crowd, and more. Volunteer registration costs $20 and includes a limited edition shirt. Feel free to email Leigh or call 415-549-8525 for more information about volunteering.
