Leila Easa (she/her)

I started dancing as a two-year old and have hardly stopped since. Growing up in Hawaii, I studied hula along with modern, tap, jazz, and hip hop. In college I minored in dance and choreography, and as an adult I've taught and choreographed for children at Steppin' Out Dance Studio and Linda Bulgo's Musical Theater Productions. I'm a certified yoga and Zumba teacher who is thrilled to join the teaching family at Rhythm & Motion, where I've been an obsessively enthusiastic student since 2012.

To me, dance can be so many things. A form of deep creative expression, a comfort, a practice of community and connection, a system of release--of emotions, of energy, even of joy. But one thing I am absolutely certain about is the R&M philosophy that dance is for everyone. I want any class I teach to be an opportunity to engage with energy, creativity, and connection in the individual bodies we each live inside and from a place that feels right for each of us. I love that R&M gives me a chance to explore this--hopefully with YOU!
