Stay Connected During COVID-19 Shutdown. Online Classes, Updates, Donation Info And More

Rhythm & Motion during Bay Area shut-down

As you may know, on Monday, March 16, San Francisco mayor London Breed called for a "shelter-in-place" for San Francisco and surrounding areas through April 7.

During this time, Rhythm & Motion is looking at many different ways to stay connected to you, our amazing community, to support our teachers and continue to spread the joy of dance far and wide.

We have released our first-ever R&M online class and we hope you enjoy it! Please share it with friends and family to spread the joy of dance (and to encourage more living room dance parties) during this time. In addition to pre-recorded videos, we are investigating live-stream options for classes. Stay tuned.

If you like the video and are able, please consider donating in support of our teachers and efforts. (Also consider taking a photo or video of you dancing to the video. We'd love to see and share what our community is up to on our social media pages.)

We will continue to stay connected with you via our website, social media channels and emails like this one. Thank you to each of you for being incredibly understanding and willing to be part of the effort to "flatten the curve". We appreciate all you do to make our community vibrant!

Dance online with us!

Nothing replaces the experience of dancing in the studio together in community. Given the circumstances of a San Francisco Bay Area COVID-19 lockdown, this will have to do. So, grab the people you live with, clear some space, play the video on the biggest screen you have and crank up the volume!

Here are 7 routines for you in a 58-minute class (recorded the day before SF went into lockdown):
