DANCEHALL with AIMEE ROSE

DANCEHALL with AIMEE ROSE
Saturday August 19
1:45-2:45pm
Yerba Buena Gardens (Esplanade)

Dancehall is a class which teaches a fusion of Jamaican Dancehall with a California (SF) twist - a mix of dance influences; hip hop, house, Afro-Haitian, and Afro-Cuban. We will work on some of the newest dance moves from the streets of Jamaica and learn some short choreographies. We will also work on getting the groove, feeling the music, and just dancing to sweet Jamaican music.

Aimee Rose is a proud native San Franciscan and a lifelong passionate dancer. She believes life is a dance and no matter what you are doing you an always employ the mentality of a dancer: discipline strength, grace, creativity and energy.

She specializes in Jamaican Dancehall, Indian Bhangra and Bollywood, Brazilian Samba, Haitian Folklore and has dabbled in Cuban Salsa and folkloric dance. Aimee currently teaches youth and adults all around the Bay Area.
