Ken Scott

Ken has a strong background in ballet, having studied with the San Francisco Ballet School and Pacific Dance Academy in Los Angeles. He has performed in various shows in the Bay Area ranging from modern and contemporary dance to Broadway, jazz, and hip hop. He has danced abroad with Leyya Tawil’s Dance Elixir, Deborah Slater Dance Theater, North Coast Ballet, Alyce Finwall Dance, Man Dance Company, and Royal Caribbean Productions and has performed in shows include Cats, Cabaret, Altar Boyz, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, City of Dreams, and West End to Broadway among others. Ken is also a certified and registered personal trainer and kinesiologist, and a master fitness educator of multiple formats and practices. Ken has taught for R&M since 2003 and his approach to class centers on not taking oneself too seriously. He believes an overly-analytical approach to dance is like an overly-creative approach to algebra... It just doesn’t work.
