The majority of our classes (unless otherwise specified) accommodate multi-level students. It may take a while to learn routines and/or build up endurance, but we all started as beginners and we welcome you into our dance community. Don’t feel discouraged; enjoy and keep coming back. Our instructors are professionals with training and experience and can answer most of your technical, choreography, and/or body-related questions.
All of our classes are ongoing and most are multi-level unless otherwise specified. The exceptions are our seasonal workshops with specific enrollment periods.
We typically recommend any loose fitting, stretchy or comfortable clothes to move in. For our workouts and hip hop classes, supportive shoes (street sneakers are fine, just as long as they’re comfortable and clean) are highly recommended. Students in other classes may have different standard attire, but we have no dress codes!
While our teachers are known to be inspiring and push students to new places, you have the right to always do what you need for your own body. All of our teachers are knowledgeable and sensitive to a variety of body issues, injuries, and limitations. At Rhythm & Motion you have the right to modify any movement and experience dance for your own particular body without judgement or pressure! And remember to drink lots of water!
Bring your questions to us by phone, email, or in person, and someone knowledgeable can help guide you. Be aware that from 5 to 9pm on Mondays through Fridays, and from 11am to 2pm on Saturdays, our front desk is particularly busy, so the staff may not be available to answer extensive questions.
Our dance community respects diversity and enthusiasm. Our teachers are known for their infectious and giving spirits. We welcome students energizing our classes with their unique energy. Feel free to let out your joyfulness.
